With how much emphasis they put to show Samus' eyes and powerless she is on this new planet, I really hope they add a quick level or a full blown side quest where you play in her Zero Suit, like in Zero Mission, to really hammer in the theme of dread

Imagine being a small developer studio and pitching a fusion remake to Nintendo. Only to have them tell you to make a NEW entry to one of the best Nintendo franchises ever. And then killing it! Mercury Steam really went full ultra on this.

This is the Metroid game we’ve needed for a long time. Finally going past the story of Fusion, a planet that isn’t SR388 and exploration that doesn’t have limited ability options. In the Trilogy and Other M, the screw attack and space jump had limited jumps anyway. I see this as an absolute win!
