Yes to sleepers! My daughter is 2 in October and we lived in sleepers until Spring/Summer! I just had my second little girl and it’s starting to become a little chilly outside and I know we are about to living in them again! 💕

I have a 6 yr old son and an 8 month old baby girl, and I never had issues finding cute baby boy clothes either! 😂 There are definitely more clothing choices for girls, but like you mentioned, they aren’t very practical anyway. I’m also the same way with color palettes! I stay clear of the bolder colors too. Such a cute haul 💙

I am pregnant with my *4th* boy 🤦‍♀️🤣 So I am always crying while I walk by the cute girl clothes and accessories LMAO. 90% of the baby's clothes are from Target. I love the Cloud Island clothes and the double zipper opening is a must! I signed up for the free welcome baby box by Walmart and there was a glitch so my husband walked in with 8 boxes one day, 6 the next. He was like "there is no way these are free!". Haha. There is a sale going on at Target on diapers, I added the coupons from the Target baby registry bag, a coupon off the manufacturer's website so I got a total of 85% off a bunch of diapers that I can always exchange for diff sizes later on.

In my experience buttons where not that big of an issue. I was more afraid that I'd zip up his skin in the zipper being half alseep. I've never used zippers and he's 14 months old. I'm not sure where you are shopping.. But I have shopped around and you can find sleepers for much less than 16.00. Carters has plenty of sales on their website, walmart.com is a good one to find sleepers at that have zippers, buybuybaby.com, if you have the 20% off coupons. I have never spent 16.00 on 1 sleeper. The most I have ever spent was 7.00. Just some information for all.


Another thing from experience is that I found the gowns where so much more better for newborns. Mine was in gowns till 5 months nearly. They are amazing. I bought my gowns from walmart and even though they all looked the same they was cheap. You can get 3 for about 8.00. He's not out that much so no need to spend $$ on clothes for him.

YES zip up sleepers with fold over mits all the way! My son was born in late October and LIVED in sleepers all winter. And nothing with more than a few snaps because that's how long your (and baby's) patience lasts haha
