Lexapro has helped tremendously to avoid having panic attacks which is pretty scary. Have noticed some side effects like tiredness and headaches but they're better now.

I’m a senior….
suffered from panic anxiety for most of my adult life…I have been taking Lexipro for many years, and plan to take it for the rest of my life…. The results have been great..

My daughter has had anxiety since third grade. That year, there was a child in her class on the autism spectrum that was really struggling. He would get so worked up that he would vomit. That year, my daughter began to be more socially withdrawn and anxious. She hasn’t been the same since. The next two years, there was a different child who had full blown seizures in her class. Seeing this multiple times caused her to be more anxious.
Now she is 15 and the anxiety that was left untreated is beginning to worsen. Lexapro has been recommended.

Gave up on SSRI, been taking them for 10 years and this year have had to go twice to the hospital because I apparently hadn’t eaten enough before taking it, something that didn’t used to happen. Spent both days vomiting quite literally every 10 minutes. The pain I felt those 2 times it happened was enough to completely deter me from ever taking them again. Would rather use Canabis. Tho lexapro could be promising

I've tried 100 drugs before excitalopram and nothing was really working, everything ending in -am went through my throat, but this this was a lifesaver, finally I feel good and I feel it, amazing medication, it helped my dystimia a lot.

I am SOOOO glad this is helping everyone. My and my family’s story is a dark side. I was on it, and had vivid dreams and I wasn’t resting while I was asleep. I had dark thoughts also. It was tried on my daughter and she had very explosive tantrums-home, at the store, etc. My son was on it and survived a $uicid€ attempt. Our doctors now know that none of our family is to be on that medication.

I have been taking this medication for almost a year myself. I have no positive words to say about this medication. Rather, it caused me to experience additional depression. Most of the time, I felt powerless and unable to do anything.
At some point, I stopped taking this medication. I no longer take any medication. In the beginning, it was difficult, but now, a year later, I feel better than when I was taking that medication.
In my opinion, this medication messed everything up instead. It made me numb. At least it did for me.

Taking Lexapro . Unfortunately I also suffered from drinking. Not a good combination. Worst anxiety and panic attacks I've ever had combined.
