Mine makes a bit of a whining noise for a few minutes when first started in real cold weather. I have replaced the belt and the crazy tensioning pulley, I'm thinking my alternator bearings are worn also

370.000 km, not too bad! How long did you expect it to last? My Saab 900 m/y 1995, 330.000 km, still working, but with a slight sound to it.

I have 06 2.4 Camry with whining noise at start up idle & gets louder as you accelerate in park or driving. Changed power steering pump and alternator nothing changed same noise. Could it be transmission? It has 105k runs and shifts fine but the whining noise is bad.
