A water-based primer works best with a water-based foundation. The Milk Hydro Grip primer is water-based. Oil and water don't mix and the same for silicone. The best result is to match the primer and foundation.
Stick with the same bases for both primer and foundation and you should see good results.

I just got a tester of it and I can’t wait to try it out! Although my foundation stays on my face the whole day anyways because it’s so good, I usually don’t even need a primer but anyhow… I will be trying this out 😃

So I just bought the primer with the fenty soft matte foundation and for some reason the makeup was pilling. I tried doing it 7 different times and I always got the same result. Not sure if the primer just isn't good for my skin or just doesn't work well with the foundation. I did notice that the fenty foundation dries quickly too so maybe it just isn't a good match? Because when I tried without the primer my foundation still got a bit blotchy. I will be trying the primer with a different foundation to see what happens
