(cofounder upstash) how did you see 500ms? it should be max 2-3ms from the same region. and we have a max price cap which is $160.

for high throughput we have pro packages which have fixed prices which are again cheaper than redis labs and elasticache.

Upstash is http based which makes it seem like it's meant for small FAAS projects. I don't think they're trying to compete with hosting your own redis instance
