Hectic Honeymoon

One of six short films made for Columbia Pictures (from 1946-1949) starring comedic actor Sterling Holloway; best known for his voice work with Disney. He is, perhaps, most well recognised for being the original voice actor of Winnie the Pooh.

In this short, newlywed Sterling - naturally excited to spread the news - and his wife turn up at work to share the plans for their honeymoon, only to find that their boss is firing anyone who chooses to get married due to all the inconveniences caused by other men's significant others getting in the way of their work. Needless to say, before he can say anything otherwise, Sterling finds himself involved in a business trip and attempts to keep their plans afloat by inviting his wife, so that they may have their honeymoon at the same time.

I don't think Sterling ever acted in a movie with the Stooges which feels like a lost opportunity. Closest we would have gotten to a Stooges and Winnie the Pooh crossover 😂
