Dear Shinedown, today is going to be great seeing you live for the first time. I am 32 years old and have been a fan since Sound of Madness. When I made my father listen to your music, he instantly got addicted. We always shared a bond with music, and Shinedown, you are the one band we dreamed to see together on stage one day. The fact that you don't come in the province of Quebec very often made the tonight's show an awesome opportunity to finally share this moment together. It was also his birthday yesterday, so I thought the planets finally aligned for us to realize this dream.


Unfortunately, we have recently learned that his throat cancer is back and he won't be able to come tonight because he needs to rest. I know that you can't cure his sickness, but I beg you: please can you come back in 2020 again so that we can live that moment together? My father is strong and never gives up, I have the conviction in my heart that he will get through this cancer again. He is so disappointed to not be able to come tonight. I hope you can make our wish come true next year.

Edit: Unfortunately, we got news from the doctors, and they can't cure my dad. It seems that it is much worst than the first test revealed. The cancer has spread in his body and his blood...They give him about 2 years if he follows the treatments, less than 1 if he doesn't. Having my father announce me that was the worst and hardest moment of my life. My father still wants to fight and I will do everything I can to use this as a motivation instead of letting this eat me alive from the inside like the cancer is doing to my dad. Thank you all for your prayers once again, more than ever we will need all the positive energy we can!
If I dare asking you guys only one thing, please just love with all your heart everyday. Tell your parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins and anyone one you consider family how much you love them. We simply NEVER know when a bomb like this falls in our life and change it forever. Be good, stay safe and take care!
