"i specifically asked you not to" was the absolute funniest thing I've heard. I don't know why but it had me laughing for a good ten minutes. LOVE YOU DAN!

One of the strangest thing about them trying to put restrictions on 3d printing firearms is that it is legal to manufacture your own firearms for personal use in the US in almost every state.

I think it’s important to understand that the vast majority of people watching don’t comment, so the toxic people criticizing you for expressing your opinions on price are not really the audience.

Hey Luke, here in the Philippines one of the most common knowledge is that you can make a single-shot shotgun with a PVC Pipe. 3D Printer banning is going to do absolutely NOTHING. LMAO

34:00 as a senior dev that actually do that, I can actually answer with good reasons, we usually have an installer that can run on anything, handshake with our servers, and then download and install the needed stuff only (depending on the os version, vc redists versions, in some case, driver versions for db access for exemple). sure we could put everything in a single massive package. But this has a few benefits, lower load on our servers, better UX (overall download+install is faster, even though it's 2 steps, because you have less stuff to download, and the ability to install different versions of a module depending on the user)

Dan is the best addition there's ever been to the WAN show - he's so gloriously goofy, it's brilliant

2:59:15 NICE! Linus _immediately_ references a _Technology Connections_ vid, like he legitimately watches him in his spare time. His VHS & CD history vids are really interesting (as are other less well-known currently media types.)

That discussion on optics management and status symbol at around 2:31:00

You and Luke and your team continue to be inspirational, keep it up

This was absolutely hilarious WAN show. From the Luke reading about the printer nonsense, to Linus making the gas lighting joke, all the segways like the Controller not being the hard r variant. So many references to LTT moments in general that this felt so enjoyable to watch through and I am not even half way.

If only i could add a video to a watchlist/playlist from the youtube notification. The notification is useless unless im going to watch the video that second. I never even bother to look there now.

Was not expecting Linus’s reaction to the cat getting out of the bag. 😹

man, i know no one is likely going to see this.

but the things about friendships, peer pressure felt like i was being talked to.

as an stubborn person in high school, i feel more proud to be who i am.

thanks for that.

The best part about NY trying to ban 3D printers is that they're ONLY trying to ban 3D printers, not any CnC equipment actually capable of machining the metal parts you would need to actually make a gun the normal way. Are they going to ban cold hammer forges next without a background check? Oh and the best part about this is that any shop that owns a 3D printer will no longer be able to hire felons. Just imagine you worked for a half a decade in prison on work release studying to get your Journeyman as a machinist or a mechanic, and now that every shop is getting a 3D printer to make parts on, you no longer are legally allowed to work in those industries because of being banned from interacting with this ubiquitous technology that is going to eventually be in almost every home in the country (no seriously, they're already cheap enough). It's fucking stupid too, you don't need a background check to purchase smokeless powder, or crude ammonal (brand name tannerite) explosives, and put them inside of a metal pipe that you scored with a pineapple pattern, and put a fuse in the top. None of those items are restricted in who can purchase them, only in how they're supposed to be stored safely, and can do far more damage if your goal was to commit a crime. It's especially dumb since they're not making it illegal to build your own printer from parts. I don't think the legislators realize how easy it would be to acquire one even without going out of state. This is not going to work lmao

Hate the notification for YouTube, but love subscription. I go through the list of what has been published by the creators I like, and the ones I want to watch (which is usually most) I add to watch later

when we were kids in the early 80s, we took a steel pipe some gaffa tape the gunpowder and fuse wire from a firework some cotton wool and a ball bearing made a rudimentary musket barrel and shot a hole in a brick wall. combining science and history to figure out pipe guns is why you should study in school kids.

For the rant on notifications
I have only put notifications for channels that rarely post and I generally want to watch as soon as it posts
So I click on more than 70% of my notifications, but I don't even get them dayly, and I have 100+ subscriptions, but only a few where I kept the bell on

Man named Luty in England made a fully auto submachine gun in his garage, see the forgotten weapons episode on it.
