Arduino Controlled Robot Arm! Adeept Kit Review

In this video I take a crack at assembling a very well made kit by Adeept! The kit is laser cut acrylic, includes 5 metal gear servos, a big honkin' bearing and a well-designed control board powered by 2x 18650 batteries - which aren't included.

Thanks for the shout out! Simone Gertz would be let jealous of that level of robotic craftsmanship :-) I think mine came with little foam blocks that you would pick up. Either way....fun project. I think the board is the star of that kit. There are a lot of options there.

I bought one and it didn't have the instructions in it or any papers. I looked up the instructions online and I got it assembled. However, the instructions were difficult to follow and were outdated. The instructions for using the software and downloading it are extremely confusing and they tell me to use the software and sketch codes that were included with the package, but nothing was included at all! If the instructions were better and made sense with how to operate and program the robot, then this would be a near perfect buy.

Paper can be removed with sharp knife also, peeling, starting from corner. But thanks for the tip with warm water!

I got one similar, without the control board. (it was realy cheap). I used my ZX Spectrum to control it. It was fun for about a week. LOL.

Hi great video. Wondering if you or anyone on this channel knows of a robot arm+controller that can move within a vertical 15" x 15" plane? Need the arm to be sturdy as the end of the arm will have a swining pendulum with some mass. So need the arm to be strong and stable.

The response is very slow and laggy. Im sure if you wrote your own code, it would be better.

Fun little robot arm....but it can only pick up air....not really useful except to move its servos and learn about that....there are other robotic arms in the same price range that are far stronger than this one.
