Power Apps: Buttons and Variables

We will cover the Power Apps Variable. Many times, you will need a variable to change things dynamically in your Power App. You will learn here how to set a variable with the Button's OnClick or OnSelect event. You will use this variable to change the text of the same button. Then you will see another button example where we will use it to show or hide an icon. You'll also see an example of an If statement being used. These are great basics to learn. I hope you enjoy this tutorial for PowerApps!

✅Now that you know how to do this, what's the next video topic you'd like covered?

very nice, right to the point - new to power apps and just wanted to know something simple as doing something when button clicked. What was throwing me was that onSelect didn't mean "button pressed" in my head. Seeing your example really helped.

Thank you for your video it is helpful. Question, I am learning how to use Power Apps and is it possible to have the button I added to also show how many times the user clicks on it? Right now I created a form with OnSelect and formula that Sets and Resets the form after someone submits info. Look forward to hearing from you, thank you! 🍩

Hello Darren, how can I add two buttons and make it so that depending on the one selected, the response is added to a SharePoint list before moving to the next part of the form?

Hi Darren, I just signed up for your Power App 90 minute tutorial. I noticed a small typo in the 3. Click the login link box. It says "ot" instead of "to". :-) Just wanted to let you know.
