Red Volvo rode it out driving into the wind. Nicely done.

I pulled into A truck Stop in West Florida after Hurricane Andrew pushed my truck up on 9 Wheels, 😮😮 It's A good thing I wasn't on the east side 🤔🤔 I Was A day late going to the store in Miami but I made it safely That's what Counts 👍👍👍😊😊😊

TRUCK DRIVERS, IT'S DANGEROUS JUST DRIVING, BUT IF YOU SEE WINDS THIS HIGH, YOU HAVE TO SAY TO YOURSELF, IS IT WORTH DRIVING, BE SAFE OUT THERE❤

The guys that stayed upright steered into it.

I was driving back in a company pro master 2500 in a tornado that came out of nowhere a few year's back on a 2 way county road...the wind was blowing so hard it made the dust and rain sheet over my windshield I couldn't even see a foot in front of me as I was trying to pull over the wind blew my van so hard it made the van merge into the on coming lane to find a gravel hauler 18 wheeler headed directly toward me head on we both tried our hardest to avoid collision we merely miss each other!!! By like an inch it was so close the pro masters dumbo ear side mirror on my driver side folded in as it smacked his 18 wheeler...that close 😲🤯 I was thanking God the rest of the way back to the shop as I was looking for an excuse to explain my pants situation 😅 I can't imagine truck drivers in heavy wind...I was just in a van that felt like a sail boat 💨💨💨⛵

The thing that makes me furious about this, is that the truck drivers' safety SHOULD come first. Meaning, they shouldn't even be on the highway AT ALL. But because business must go on, and we must never stop worshipping the god of greed, their lives are deemed expendable. This country is incorrigible. Life is worth more than interstate commerce.

God bless all in this storm! We got lots of sand & wind, but nothing like this.

There were weather warnings the previous day. They should have turned into the wind and parked. There are times when you should not go on the road.
Alright, for those unaware, I've held a CDL. I've seen enough flipped rigs to sink a battleship. I've driven past them in my personal vehicle through a blizzard. It only takes overconfidence to ruin your entire life, lose the load, and destroy your equipment. In some situations, people lose their lives. As one person commented, "they should have routed around it, " and I fully agree. I know that there are brokers, penalties, and more. However, what good comes from a flipped truck? Losing one's life?
On top of it, you can feel the trailer being caught by the wind. The best option is to pull off if you can to where you won't flip. All the argumentative people here are arguing about driving to keep a schedule to avoid penalties. What good comes from what happened to these truckers that either chanced the weather? Tell me, what good if they own the rig, and their insurance refuses to cover it? Especially since there were warnings. Insurance companies fight claims when due common sense is not taken. Yes, it sucks that there are penalties, but a loss to an individual owner can be devastating.

That's why I chose to drove a flatbed during my trucker years😊

The stupidity of these drivers knowing it's a high wind day, seeing trucks and trailers flipped over, and them thinking it won't happen to them with an empty trailer.
