“that is not my america” actually made me tear up because she sounded so disappointed in this country.

When the lady said “I’m so sorry sir, that is not my America” I felt a rush of happiness and pride, I’m not even American, but I could feel the kindness in her tone.

The first lady to react is 100% a legit QUEEN. She chose to elegantly approach the man being discriminated with calm empathy and show him kindness in contrast to the bully. We need more people like her, “That is not MY America.” Golden!

" This is not my America ", i almost cried. I am not an American but because my loving aunt and my dearest cousin are living in America now. They are safe and they have been treated nicely there, which makes me and others from our family so happy. We all heard and seen the news about hatred and discrimination, but i still believe that America is such a wonderful country just like my own country. So its better to treat everybody (tourist or not) with respect and acceptance no matter where u are.... ❤❤❤

As a sikh and my best friend being muslim, these people standing for sikhs and muslims restored my faith in humanity. Seeing these acts of kindness just warms my heart. Living in america we all know it is supposed to be an accepting place for all religions, all races, all sexualities, all gender identities. Everyone is human no matter what and this proves that americans live up to what are nation is expected of and supposed to be like.

In India, there is a very high population of Sikhs in the Indian Army and they protect our country from terrorists. In India, Sikhs are considered very strong but friendly people who emit an AURA which gives people around them a sense of security. Sikhs also make a good amount of the population in Canada.

I appreciate when the people who didn’t “do the right thing” still have a little interview afterwards and don’t have blurry faces. It does take some humility to do so.

Sikh people are the nicest people ever. I had an asthma attack in India and two Sikh men carried me to the entrance of the building. Bless them.

I had a friend from Pakistan in middle school who was the kindest girl you could ever meet. I was bullied a lot during school and she was my friend no questions asked. Her family was Muslim. They welcomed me like they knew me their whole life. 9-11 had happened recently during this time and she faced tones of discrimination. I stood proudly as her friend! If you ever see this comment I love you girl. And congratulations on overcoming it all. ❤️❤️❤️

I gotta be honest, as a person born in the 21st century the only religion that has ever attracted me is Sikhism. Sikhs are the most honourable people living today on earth. They are honest and sincere. There is no other religion in this world which works more for the service of the people and the society. Cheers to my sikh mates! Buraaah!

Fun Fact: Sikhs are incredibly nice and lovely people but if you mess with them so much to an extent, make sure your health insurance is intact.
