Was just thinking about this fight and how dum the hokage was ... i mean bro after the encounter with Itachi and Kisame they knew how INSANE the akatsuki were when 4 Jonin couldn't stop them ... 4 fuckin Jonin bro .... Kotetsu and Izumo were like regular forever chunins and Shikamaru was still a green 17 old kid who haven't even been in a real fight yet and no info... i mean they took down a bunch of jinchuriiki they should of have Anbu spying on em to atleast learn their abilities damn ... Asuma got f'd cause of that decision ain't gonna lie ...

One thing i didnt understand that they knew that akatsuki work in 2 man team then why they didn't put at least 2 jonin in one squad. To fight against akatsuki you need at least 2 jonin how can one jonin fight akatsuki by himself. Also asuma should have waited for reinforcement

I watched for years as this ninja, Shikamaru, jumped between branches & bested opponents known for knocking people off their feet. Just so he could trip on a rock the animators didn't even bother render when his sensei needed him most. Smh.

One thing the writers didn't explain well is the pain Hidan feels.. he might still remember how it felt the couple of times he first did this ritual, but he definitely built up a resistance to pain. Technically he never felt the same pain as there is also a psychological factor which he never experienced due to never dying.
