Hi, with mrcp exams done, do we still need to do core training or we go to sr1 directly?

My take home message as an FMG:
PLAB -> FY2 standalone -> CT/IMT -> MRCP -> Speciality training
How long would this process take?

Thank you for the valuable info that you guys provide in your videos and blog posts.
As you are aware there is serious shortage of Plab-1 places all around the world. I want to know is it a wise decision to pursue MRCP parts in this time till we get a place for plab-1? And also about gmc registration through MRCP, I have read that you have to pass all three parts to get gmc registration. If so can someone with no UK clinical experience pass PACES?

For international students do we have to do plab then MRCP or we can do MRCP without plab and get residency

I'm an intern now, and im planing to go ahead and take MRCS A, B within 2 years here in Saudi. I might work as a GP in Surgery Department for at least a year then I'll try to find a job in UK .
now my question is with that 1 year experience in Saudi is it possible to try my luck and apply for S3 or i have to go back all over again and apply for S1-S2 level . (another question is clearing MRCS will guarantee you a job in UK?) thank you

I'm a Pakistani doctor and I want to go to England via mrcp route... Do still I need to give plab? Or only mrcp is enough?

Hi, a really nice and informative video, thanks for helping us out . I have one difference of opinion, though . You mentioned multiple times that Plab is cheaper than royal College exams . I don't understand the logic. May be it is like that for someone residing in UK . But not for someone like me who lives outside of uk ( india, in my case ) .Let me make my case . If I do plab, the exam cost alone would be 240 + 906 = 1146 . But when I consider other costs like the money that I have to save in my account to get plab 2 visa ( around 3000 pounds ), the plane tickets to uk ( around 1000 pounds to and fro ) and also the expenses of coaching academy and day to day expenses in uk for writing plab 2, the total amount required would add up to around 6000 pounds or 6 lakhs Indian rupees . But when it comes to MRCS ( which iam planning to take ) the exam cost alone may be more than plab ( 550 + 997 = 1547 pounds ) . But the catch here is that there are centres available in India for both MRCS part A and Part B ( in delhi and hyderbad for part B ) unlike plab . So I won't have to travel outside India to write any part of MRCS and if I plan it out carefully, I don't necessarily have to go outside uk until I get a job after gmc registration . So the total cost of MRCS, including the coaching and travel expenses, will only come to around 2000 pounds ( 2 lakh Indian rupees ) which is way cheaper than plab . So for somebody like me who is residing outside of uk, isn't MRCS a better option for GMC registration, strictly from a financial point of view ?

Is it advisable for a newly graduated student to do the MRCS and start at the F1 level in the UK?

Hello, i have a query, regarding plab and mrcp, if i hv completed my residency in dermatology in my home country, which would be the best option for me to get GMC registration and if i have completed both my residency as well as my mrcp, then, would i have to go for IMT or will i get directly ST3 trainning in dermatology as a registrar. Thank you...
