Got an internet upgrade to 100mbit, even if you don't have a 4k monitor, YouTube steams the 4k videos at a higher bit-rate, so it does look better than normal 1080p.

How do you get VP9 codec Elric? I thought people were doing it through Nvidia capture hardware on their GPU's but you used a camera? I found a plug in for CC Adobe Premier Pro 2014 but exporting in VP9 takes a lifetime.

I downloaded Sony Vegas Pro 13 trial but can't find VP9 just 8. I have wasted so many hours trying to find a way to convert my game recording and compress them with VP9 that won't take a week to convert. There are three settings with the Premier Pro plug in Realtime, Good and Best. Realtime is obviously much faster but the others I wouldn't even try and wait out lol and it's nowhere near real time anyway lol.

VP9 compression is so much better than H264 :( Specially for Bf4 gameplay. Youtube 1080p vides have a max bit rate of 4.2 Mbps, 1440P is 6 or 8 Mbps I can't remember after Youtube compresses them.

I see your 4K video is 32 Mbps! The trick is to make the video a bit bigger than 1080P if your recording in 1080P so you can get the bit rate of 1440P. One resolution is 2048x1152 to get the higher bitrate from videos larger than 1080p.

I really like it, but there are 2 things I would change. First would be the front camera. I would make it 5mp minimum because tablets are commonly used for video chatting so that would dramatically improve quality. Second I would have added a stylus for note-taking like the Samsung Note series of phones and tablets have. Other than that its nice. Great design and build, plus it isn't TouchWiz like Samsung's tablets

Sony always seems to make really good looking devises. The bezels on the big side but that's a good thing for people who drop their devise sometimes. It's got a nice plain look to it that reminds of of the ipad a little bit. It's only a $100 more off contract which is not common on the phone side, but that might be for tablets (never really shopped around for tablets that much). If I had the money I would probably go for one of these.

Interesting tablet. I have a NVIDIA Shield and I am liking it, I was considering a Sony tablet but I am an OS purist, I hate the skins and extra stuff they add to these tablets; just annoys me.

Tablets are getting better and better and while I have a few things I could use tablets for I'd use a cheap one for what I do which would be to look up websites with stats while watching a sporting event live or use it to read free harness racing programs when at the track.  I doubt this is cheap enough for me and really I can use my son's HP Touchpad with Android put on it.  No buy for me when it comes to this Sony product.
