Democrats surge to convention ratings win over Republicans

A new presidential candidate, a slew of celebrities and slick programming helped propel Democrats and Vice President Kamala Harris to a ratings win at this week’s Democratic National Convention, surpassing the television viewership of last month’s Republican gathering. CNN's Hadas Gold reports.

It was def. one of THE best conventions we've ever seen. I'm STILL rewatching parts of it, including that dance party delegate roll call. Who woulda thought they could make a typically boring part so much fun, it was so good! It's gonna take LOT to top it next time. And checking the news, I see over the convention week, Kamala's campaign brought in more than 100 MILLION dollars, including over 7mill just during Kamala's speech! Joyful Warriors coming thru BIG time! Lets keep it going all the way to election day!

I think the rating for Trump's speech and the ratings for Harris' speech, speaks volumes, because Harris' speech drew 28.9M views, while Trump's speech drew 28.4M views, but, let's not forget that on the last night of the Convention, which is when Harris gave her speech, they lied and said BEYONCE was going to be performing...they literally lied to get people to tune in to see Beyonce so that they can boost their ratings and make it look like all those people were tuning in to see Harris and despite lying about Beyonce, they barely got a higher rating than Trump...they LITERALLY had to CHEAT to do it. Imagine how bad those numbers would look if they didn't dupe people into watching by putting out the rumor that Beyonce would be there to perform.

Kamala has literally been the candidate for about 4-5 weeks. She's had to make up a lot of ground in the time and also become the Democratic nominee. But she came out of the gates on fire. Now that the convention is over and she's officially the nominee, she can start planning some town halls. Maybe after the first debate with Trump. But come on, give her some credit and time.
