Here's my honest and unsponsored review of my PRS SE Silver Sky. I've had it for since it released well over a year ago, so i've really had a chance to get to know it.

Getting my lefty in a few days.... Lovely playing. Gonna see how it stacks up to brethren at equal and much higher price points. What amp are you using...I missed that part...if any. Try an LSL...got a TBone and a Saticoy...percussively delicious.

Great and honest review 👍 Another thing comparing a PRS SE Silver Sky to a Fender Player Strat out of the box, to keep in mind, that the Fender player strat most probably needs a lot more work setting up the guitar to it’s full potential than the SE Silver Sky. The PRS, at least most of them, are set up way better. This is where I think a portion of the cost of the PRS is going in to.

The first thing you say at about 5.10 after "it works and it does what you want it to do" is that it stays in tune. I don't even use whammy but when i have used it on my two ss se's it stays in very good tune.I have had so many limitations to my playing with other guitars, worrying that strumming too hard or bending too much will send it out of tune. With this there is no worry. Occasionally needs a tune like all guitars but its tuning stability is the greatest of all guitars, regardless of price range. That is the conscious and subconscious reason you played only that guitar for months and didn't bother playing the others. I have owned strats and i even owned a brand new core model silver sky and none of them stayed in tune like the ss se.Rock on!

I ordered one a month ago and it came in a really bad shape. After I played it I there was no reason to keep it. The Fender Player FSR with Custom-Shop Fat 50's which I bought earlier this year cost me a 100 € less than the PRS and was just the better guitar - but thats my opinion.

There are a thousand new and used Fender Stratocaster models out there, and yet PRS had to invent a new one? With a different and ugly headstock? What? Was the purpose?
