Many thanks, Ray. This 12-bar blues, composed by Clarence Williams, was recorded by Margaret Webster in 1929; and also by Bessie Smith. Tuba Skinny included it on two of their albums - 'Tuba Skinny' and 'Pyramid Strut', with Erika singing it. But she preferred the key of B flat, whereas with Greg on vocals they play it in E flat. A clever little touch in this performance is the way Shaye and Craig 'trade twos' in a four-bar link before the sixth Chorus. Shaye sets it up with a signal to Craig at 01:24 and then a leg signal to the rest of the band at 01:28.

I didn't known the number of single performances of this tune playing by Tuba Skinny. I only know all are fabulous.
I can't stop listening this band.
Craig Klein with a marvelous trombone solo. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Even without Erika, Barnabus and Jason "Gimme some" is still wonderful.

Robin is always entertaining. Here he delivers an exciting solo that gives Gimme Some a perfect ending.

Is that a thunderstorm going on while our Tuba Skinny buskers play beautifully and bravely right through it like the troopers they are. Bravo!

Thanks again Mr. Ray! This has been one of my favorite TS songs since the beginning. Max is a great tenor banjo player!

A great old song played and sung just right. The best audio and video. Once again, the audience loves Robin’s solo. Say, was he in rhythm band in grade school?

Who is on trombone? I thought Charlie Haloran normally fills in for Barnabus at the d.b.a., but that does not look like him behind the dark glasses.
