I love how Cash is man enough to admit that he’s in nearly constant pain as well as the fact that he’s not brave. Dude was a real man’s man.

Goddamnit, what a man he was. Truly need more people like him in this day in age. His mindset and act and overall look on life was one of a kind.

Johnny was a great man and musician, and he brought honesty to everything he did

What he said about being ordained or called by God to preach or to sing, this is a very wise statement. Nobody can just decide to be a real preacher

"I'm not being brave at all after what I've been through, I just know how to handle it." Man, there's a life lesson there.

Him wearing black for all those who were wronged and didn't know anything but the wrong way in life is the most christian thing on this planet. He felt their pain spiritually while acknowledging his own vices and made a point to share it. That's one of the many reasons why I loved Johnny Cash since I was a kid. He was the first Christian artist to not make his religion everything like Chris Timlin and still relate to people, way before Under Oath and As Cities Burn did it.

"I'm not brave after what I've been through, I just know how to handle it." how eloquently humble of him

Johnny Cash was a true man of God - humble, somber, and devoted to helping the poor and downtrodden. He offers a valuable lesson for today's so-called "Christians."
