My son is 8 years old and is also on the spectrum. He is obsessed w/trains, hot wheels, marbles and anything he can collect in large amounts. Last year we got him a Marble Run set which he absolutely is a big fan of, as well as the game Kerplunk (game w/marbles of course). He also loves to set out his toys that he a large collection of and list them, so we have got him several different "Collector's Editions Books" of various different items (Marbles Collectors guide, Shopkins Collectors Guide, Disney Character Encyclopedia, Hot Wheels Guide, Meet the Cars, etc..) He does not like to read actual stories because it is hard for him to fully understand the characters and stories plots, and to him it is just another annoying school related task that is asked of him. So by getting him the Collector's Books and Guides, we are able to sneak in some reading material that he isn't annoyed by. He also enjoys spinning and rocking, so for Christmas this year we plan to invest in a Wobble Chair, or the Ikea Lomsk Chair. We did also get the Tangle toy for his stocking (found at Walmart $4). Also in past Christmases, toys that he enjoyed were the Educational Insights Design & Drill Activity Center (Amazon $30), as well as the Learning Resources Light 'N' Strike Math Game (Amazon $35). They were fun ways to make learning more enjoyable and hands on for him.

Thanks for sharing! I love the Christmas holidays and I'm pretty fine with what I get from my parents! Usually I like Toy Story toys and stuff related to Pixar like the Incredibles! I also like Legos and other building sets! Also gift cards are good because I can get what I want but sometimes with autism you can't always do that because of motor planning issues! I like gifts that are meaningful and useful and that are fun and enjoyable for me! Well, thanks for sharing your tips! Have a Merry Christmas!

My son has an indoor trampoline. 😑 he has torn up the netting and the foam that goes around the poles that hold the netting. Luckily 98%of the time he likes to sit in it and play with toys or watch a movie. He even likes napping in it. 😊

He is 11yrso but he isn't at a 11yro level. O and water he water.
