A contradictory telling of the story of the Castro assasination team that included Rip Robertson and the same characters sited by Seehan is that the team was assembled at the Miami base JM Wave, to go to Cuba to extract two Soviet soldiers who wanted to defect with information on missiles that were not removed and were still in Cuba. The team was unable to locate the soldiers. Is the true story, or was that the cover story to hide the fact that the US was still sending hit teams at Castro?
