I hope that if someone has a loved one under this conditions, the person might get well. ♥️

Thank you so much for this video! It has helped me and my family better understand as our mother who is in the ICU on a ventilator fighting the corona virus. I pray to GOD in the name of JESUS for healing, recovery, faith and hope for all that have been impacted by this🙏🏽🙏🏽

Mechanical ventilation is what the world need the most right now, but care, love and affection cannot be replaced by any of these machines, god bless.

Been there, done that, decades ago. SHOULD be better now, but it's worse than your worst nightmares, mainly since you can't communicate & it feels like the settings are too high/your lungs are exploding (you're often too drugged to use pen&pad; even if YOU think it's readable, it's just scribble. Tablets w/ pre-programmed, multiple choice common AUDIBLE responses can & should help greatly.)

Remember, the way these work are by using air pressure to forceably inflate your lungs like a balloon...sometimes way, way past the level at which YOU feel your lungs will literally tear open.

Then again, thanks to that, I'm still here, b$tching, laughing, loving, being loved, even skydiving, and .... yelling at the news (on ALL channels.) Thanks, in part to the ventilator. Life is a chain in which the "weakest link" is changing every moment. When you NEED a ventilator, there's no substitute. Remember, even a few minutes without oxygen means partial or critical brain damage ->vegetable w/arms.

I had this done because of a pulmonary embolism, I felt like I was choking non stop

I hated it but I guess it's better than the alternative, but trust me it's not fun.

I'm a Respiratory Therapist.
I typed "Ventilator" into YouTube just to get an idea of what info the General Public is getting.

I hope to be dead before I ever need a Ventilator (other than surgery), Heavy Sedation and Paralyzed.

Just terrible. I was thinking of buying my own ventilator for corona virus, but forget it. It's looks like that machine belongs in a hospital.

It's important to have videos about this from before Covid, otherwise it's impossible to convince some people that more recent videos aren't just "scaremongering" or whatever.

This is EXTREMELY scary and not anything i would EVER want or to even happen to an enemy! I have a very bad gag reflex as it is, so i don’t know how this would work!

I had to go through this process because of asthma a year ago. But they put me to sleep for 4 days while i was incubated. I am so scared to go through this process again....

Not being able to swallow would be the worst I would imagine. I have dreams sometimes where I'm trying to swallow and cannot. I feel panicked in my sleep but wake up and I'm fine. Cant imagine being awake and having that feeling of panic.

Ventilator killed my loved one who had covid-19. Rushing her on a ventilator was the greatest mistake it did more harm then good. Doctors were so incompetent in Humber River Hospital in Toronto.
