Great video. We just had an attempted theft of our travel trailer. The potential thieves broke the hitch ball lock, let some of the air out of the tires to release the wheel chocks and attempted to drag it away from our driveway. Clearly or fortunately, they weren't professionals as they were defeated by the flat tires and the noise from the electric jack and stabilizers. I like the heavy duty chain. Hopefully it is long enough to thread under the trailer. The wheel locks are also on the list of items to acquire. Anything to frustrate a potential thief. Thanks again for the great information.

I had a camper stolen years ago. I had a lock on the tongue. Neighbors reported seeing the thieves hook up the safety chains, wave to them as if they were supposed to be doing that, and drove off. After that, I started locking the wheels. Much more effective method. Looks like you have a good setup. Travel trailer insurance is cheap, make sure you have a policy just in case.

Thanks for the information regarding the PACLOCK. Looking forward to seeing how the new truck and trailer are working together.

Excellent video and advice. I use a similar coupler lock guard from Ft Knox Locks with the exact same Paclock puck and coupler pin lock 😊. I also do the heavy duty chain and Paclock (I LOVE the Paclock system of keyed-alike locks) on the wheels (on one side) AND I loop it around the axle to make the wheel removal scenario harder. I have been looking for a set of lug locks and like what you have presented here. Thanks again for some excellent advice !

Great information guys! Really hoping that you will make a video on your towing experience with the 3.0 Duramax and the max tow package. Like you, I can only fit a half ton truck in my garage space. Guessing that you are close to maxing out your GVWR on the RV, so I'm especially curious about your tongue weight vs. max on the truck specs. I think you picked the right truck, just waiting to see if you are happy with the towing experience.

Other than the lock, it looks like a patent infringement on the Proven Industries lock that came out years ago and the lock I use.

Wish I saw this before my park model was stolen right off my camp property. Not even a tracking device came too my mind until after. The worst part of the theft was the contents, we had everything down to a toaster and coffee maker in the thing. SS pots and pans, lanterns, walkie talkies, clothes, you name it, I had it. We would use it four or five times a summer and never had a problem until we did. Cops couldn’t even find a video of a truck pulling a 40 foot camper down any local roads. I even decided to let the insurance lapse. Sucks when someone can steal something from someone who worked their asses off to enjoy some relax time from all the hard work we put in to make this happen. I’m really ready for government getting out of the way and letting the people take care of thieves when caught. They turned our society into a crime pays society and all that does is create more thieves. No deterrent for criminals anymore. Sad bunch of crap.

I bought this coupler lock and its beefy AF. Feel a lot better having it on my trailer.

I'm probably missing something here, but not sure I understand the advantage of securing your RV chains with the Paclock--can't would-be thieves just bring their own chains to attach your trailer to their tow vehicle?

Is there a reliable trailer tracking device that can give our awesome police the scumbag’s location?

I can drill out the keyway in about 30 second's, don't get over confident about this or any lock.

Prevention I think not. Reduction, yes.

Locks keep honest people honest.
