Exploring Scottish Highlands in Cairngorms National Park [Hiking Cairn Gorm]

Cairngorms National Park is a great place for hiking and exploring the picturesque Scottish highlands landscape. It’s home to many plants, creatures and ecosystems. It houses over half of the surviving ancient Caledonian Scottish forest. It’s also home to the Cairngorm Mountain range, which lies in the heart of the park.

On a whim, for my birthday hike, we decided to hike Cairn Gorm itself, the 7th tallest mountain in the British Isles.

And we really had no idea just how ruggedly beautiful the landscape could be.

We took the 7.2 mile loop Cairn Gorm loop trail through the Cairngorm mountain summit, through Stob Coire an t-Sneachda and Cairn Lochan. You can add the Ben MacDui loop if you want a longer route.

Hi! I was there with my sisters and their boyfriends this week and it was stunning! Absolutley beautiful landscape like from another world. We came from Czechia and for myself im gonna go back there for sure. We took Cairn Gorm trail loop, but next time I want to hike Ben Macdui. Your video was the reason i choose this destination!
