Shintoism, the indigenous religious practice of Japan. Shinto has its own shrines, priests, gods and rituals. Everything you'd expect from a religion but today while over 80% of Japanese people participate in Shinto practices only 3-4% identify themselves as believers in Shinto and many Japanese people practice Shinto alongside Buddhism without any sense of contradiction.

Characteristics of Shinto

・Polytheism whose supreme deity is Amateras, the goddess of the sun

・There is a creator god, but he is not worshiped that much.

・God is not partial to people.

・Basically, gods do not give orders to humans, but they strongly dislike having their divine precincts polluted.

・If you do evil deeds, you will be punished in this world.

・Considering that God, spirits, and people are interrelated in multiple layers.

・There is no heaven or hell after death.

Why not Jesus
He claims to be god and rose from the dead soo its clear. He answered my prayers directly and was prophesied by the prophets(around 300 prophecys are talking about jesus, son of god or the mesiah). Jesus fulfilled every 300 prophecys
