Bear charges at kayaker in river near Squamish, B.C.

A kayaker quickly became face-to-face with a grizzly bear when the animal charged into the water in his direction. Sarah MacDonald reports.

I live in West Vancouver. The greater Vancouver area has about 2.5m residents. Squamish is 47 minutes away (56km). And that’s a Grizzly Bear ... welcome to Canada!

Bear was not attacking the kayak. Seen this dozens of times in Alaskan river fishing. Nothing unusual at all
