It's good to see there's still footage of Evanescence during their breakout year, when the original band was still together. I think Amy was just 21 back then. Incredible voice that has only matured like fine wine.

I remember being at Pinkpop2003 and hearing Evanescence for the first time. I was blown away by their peformance and instantly bought their album Fallen on the festival. I still listen to the music that Amy Lee makes. She has such a beautiful voice.

Evanescence was a last-minute substitute for Linkin Park, because someone in Linkin Park was ill or injured.

My t-shirt from that year's festival has Linkin Park printed in the lineup, and doesn't mention Evanescence at all -- But I have a signed album and playbill from the band. And my poor, awkward, idealistic 17-year-old self even handed them a fan letter. I doubt they read it, understandably.

I recall at one time, Ben Moody asked, "So, what's with all the... *pink*?"

Amy said, "Because it's *PINK*pop!"

Anyway, that's why the stage is so bare. None of the venue or festival staff knew how to dress up the stage for an Evanescence show, because no one knew they would be there until that morning.

Love Amy Lee and Evanescence. This is some good old footage. The clarity isn't very good, but I am not going to complain about that. Just glad that this video is available to remember a very talented young woman, and band. Miss them.

Amy's voice is ten times better when she's not completely worn out. Pinkpop 2003 had a shorter setlist, which paid dividends for her voice. I love this performance!
