I used all those bombs FOR SHOW only. You don't need to use them at all.

I'll never forget the mission where you have to kill someone at this sawmill. He shot at me but then I heard all the massed screams that he'd alerted to our position... And then that music came on as well. Well I killed him as the screams got closer and closer. I didn't bother collecting anything or looting, I just sprinted out the door and it's a good thing too because they were almost on top of me at that point. I had to sprint away to get to my bike but it was quite a way away from the sawmill, up on the hill. It was a desperate chase with them coming from every turn and angle. As I neared my bike I ran out of stamina despite it being the focus of my upgrades/skill points, and the zombies at this point were closing in on me. I didn't have time to actually get onto the bike, start the engine and ride off - a truly terrifying moment when in the moment first playing through this game. So I had to run past it, and that's always depressing when a horde's breathing down your neck and you're on foot. The situation had become so desperate that I had to essentially throw grenades at my own feet just to alleviate the closest zombies which gave me time to shoot at their front ranks who were still sprinting at full pace. Desperate days. Managed to circle about and buy myself just enough time to get on the bike outta there. What made that so intense was that I wasn't prepared for a horde, and was in effect ambushed in the middle of their territory. Should have known better though I guess. Lucky to make it out alive. Though everyone who's played the game has had many moments like this. Great game

I went into this unprepared and came away with nothing left in my inventory, ran out of bullets too, and killed the last one with the last hit of my bat, such fun!

Still works. Just used this method yesterday 5/10/21. You can even skip laying out all traps if you want. just get the horde to chase you to the ledge and drop every explosive you've got. I did use a couple attractors when it looked like the whole group wasn't coming over but it was a breeze.

We need another days gone. Such a fun game. It’s weird being from Oregon and seeing so many things in a game that you’ve been too😂. Just imagine how much better the second one would be with adjusted mechanics and less bugs.

I finished this horde for the first time yesterday after my 8th try in Hard II. It was really fun I'll tell you that. The freaks are sometimes really smart and they'll flank you when you least expect. The best thing in this game for sure

My favorite horde method:
Attractor
Napalm molotov
Chopper machine gun
Run to gain distance
Repeat

It sucks to have to keep collecting the crafting resources for the attractors and molotovs but it's a simple strategy and it's very effective. I can normally take down an average sized horde using only a couple attractors and molotovs. My chopper mows down most of them.

Happy to report that this still works a treat. I started off strong flinging the attractor bombs over and then played with fire just like the video.

Thanks man! But this can be done much easier. Just throw 1-2 attractors in that corner 3:40. Theyll hear it from their nest and head towards that corner.
