The Audi TT has become something of an icon since it was first launched back in 1998. The latest version of the third-generation goes up against competition that includes the Porsche 918 Cayman, Alpine A110, BMW 2 Series, Toyota GT 86, Mazda MX-5 and Ford Mustang. Ginny has been a TT fan for a while, and in this video she gets behind the wheel of the facelifted version to see if the car still has all the qualities that made it one of her favourites.

Carbuyer makes car buying simple. We're the only automotive brand that's approved by the Plain English Campaign, delivering you clear, concise and easy to understand information about the things that really matter when you're choosing - and buying - your next car.

I drove a friends TT 15 years ago, and test drove a second TT. I Was University student…couldn’t afford one. Loved it! Finally buying myself a TT after all of these years later!!! So excited

i just bought a 2016 TT what an epic car, absolutely love it. 2019 doesn't need the fake vents the design is just right.

I have a TT Coupe 2017 and it's honestly a nice little coupe. Love the virtual cockpit and the air-vent design. Can't really complain. While I thought the 2015 update gave the car a much sharper look over the MK2, I think the 2019 update really wasn't necessary, especially those fake vents. Sure, it gives it a bit more of an aggressive look but that's about all really. I do like the honeycomb front grill though. I've got my eyes set on the 718 Cayman S as my next car.

Test drove one yesterday. Such a fabulous car. Mk3 much better looking than the Mk2.

Great that the virtual cockpit is standard now.

Why on earth did Peugeot not release a mk. II RCZ? The TT is obviously popular (which is why the RCZ existed to begin with), and even though Peugeot said the RCZ was an attempt to chase a niche, I would have thought enough were sold to make a new model based on the mk. II 308. They didn't need to ever chase the top TT, just the two wheel drive ones. A bit daft, really.

As for the TT, good car but certainly just an evolution. Perhaps that's all that's needed.

My wife had one of the first ever right hand drive TT's in the in the UK that we had ro wait some time for. When I told her Audi were stopping production she said I have to have one. She has not had a car of her own for 14 years. I am waiting delivery of the 2024 Q4 very shortly so we will be a not only a two car home but a two Audi home. You can guess the smile on the fase of the salesman from Audi two cars in a couple of weeks.

Hi Ginny. Looking at the Audi TT configurator, the entry level model doesn't have a manual gearbox option.

I had this car back in 2001. It was a great car to pick up women with.

Yeah design/look of the car is amazing, back when it come out, it was ahead of the competition by a mile literally!

Could've been the best review if you would've sat in the rear seat, for understanding the clear size of the rear passenger seat
