Dr Samuel Boissier, CNRS researcher (Directeur de Recherche) at LAM,
LAM deputy director.

- Scientific interest: computing models of the chemical and spectro-photometric evolution of galaxies, using ultra-violet to infrared
data to study extinction and star formation in nearby late-type galaxies, studying the properties of Low Surface Brightness galaxies and of the
outer parts of normal disk galaxies.

- A member of the council of the Société Française d'Astronomie et d'Astrophysique (SF2A), and its president for 2 years (2016-2018).

- A member of the French national program for galaxies and cosmology (PNCG) and its director since
2020.

The purpose of the Cosmology School is to give an introduction to the current knowledge in cosmology, both in theory and observations. This School is intended for undergraduate, MSc and PhD students, as well as young postdoctoral researchers, interested in these fields.
