Am I the only who thinks Rowan's character is what killed Olivia's character and the entire show? I mean at first he as great and allowed us to know Olivia's past and why she became who she is and they introduced us to B613. But he has been dragging the whole show down ever since along with the whole love triangle between her, Jake and Fitz. I get that she needed to evolve and that her kidnap had an effect on her mental but I think they went the wrong way. They should have made her become darker for a season max and then allow her to get some sort of therapy and make a change in her personal life by focusing on helping her clients and not sleeping around. The only reason why most of us were rooting for her affair with Fitz was because they truly loved each other, otherwise there was no need to tarnish her image further down the road. For once, tv gave us a strong, successful independant black woman and now they have made her into a complete monster for no reason whatsover. It doesn't make any sense at all! I like to compare her to Annalise Keating and you see how much better written Viola Davis character is! She is a very flawed human being yet she still has some sort of moral compass. At the same time, when she does something horrible, we understand her choices because it makes perfect sense when you know her personality. I have also realized that Scandal's writers have never truly explained to us Olivia's past, how she got where she is now, maybe it would have explained the reason why she made a 306° u-turn personality wise. Her parents being complete psychos was not enough imo because most kids don't always turn out like their parents. Bottom line: Scandal has lost the plot a long time ago and I hope we'll return to what's made it such a groundbreaking show before they say goodbye for good.
