Very excellent. I really love Botvinnik (and his rival Smyslov, too), and this game shows once again that even the ‘boring’ players can attack and checkmate superbly in the middle game. Unlike players who aim to attack from earlier, solid players like Botvinnik organize their pieces for whatever the position calls for, then attack without any error and truly give ‘no chance.’
