Hi...I want to delegate some AD privileges( 2008 R2) to the head of a sub-IT department in my organization(They are in a group "Software" under the organizational unit). I want the head of department to be able to install softwares on any of the machines in his department, configure network (IP) and install printers. But dont want him to be able to login to get access to the server (remotely, etc). Any Help?? Thank you!

Do you need to install LDAP OR AD LS in order to have Active Directory to work? I couldn't find any LDAP portocol on server on my company DC or servers, and it still works, I wonder if I missed anyone knows?!
