Newman is an excellent captain. I like the way he states his answer. Not rising inflection but confident downward inflection.

Hello again! The losing team put up a good fight in the middle, but was blitzed in the beginning and the end. And so we say goodbye to them. The winning team is a force to be reckoned with. My best to both teams, and to each individual.

Moorcroft and Mouelhi are both really good, Carr and Newman, while not as fast, are good at answering the bonuses. This team might go far.

21:26 If only Amol had said "you may not discuss"! Not sure if Reading noticed, but there is a burnt bear on their table. Also, there is an entire episode on Moorcroft's shirt by Seinfeld. That said, Moorcroft was the star of today's show.

Thanks a bunch, wonderful CP! As for the match itself, I got a shockingly high number of answers (namely 15), which means that the questions were comparatively easy this time around. Usually, I only get one - if I am lucky! Exeter produced real teamwork and everyone contributed! Carr stood out to me, though! She seems wonderfully tenacious.

Carr and Moorcroft are a wonderful duo! The rest of the Exeter team work amazingly together but these two stood out to me.

This match got me loads of points, too :)

Thanks, Cosmic Pumpkin. I actually didn't feel too stupid this time. Got a few. I'm a math Numpty, but got Parallelogram.😳

I love that Moorcroft wore a puffy shirt. Somewhere, Jerry Seinfeld is feeling quite proud.

Congratulations to Exeter! Seem like a strong team. Reading didn, t seem to be cohesive and dithered a lot. Always enjoyable nonetheless. Thanks for our much anticipated Monday entertainment! 😁

Not many starters-for-ten answered - 18 in total which is lower than average, but 24/33 is mighty fine work from Exeter. We're definitely not seeing Reading again - second round continues to be set up nicely with how the scores are coming in ;). I also make it that 6/7 qualifying teams have bonus rates of 2/3 or more. Only Wadham, Oxford from 2 weeks back had one below that - not sure what it means but let's hope it continues ;).
