Hi, Ioana! I found this lesson too. I am sure you know how we celebrate New Year's Eve. I am usually celebrating New Year's Eve with my mother, we eat "virsli" - it is the type of meat what you find in a hot dog, but we don't eat anything out of chickens this day, so that sausage has to be made out of pork. We have a count down on TV, we click a glass of champagne - actually some another type of alcohol because I don't really like champagne. I used to make resolution but I don't do it anymore because I just never keep it. We have fireworks in our town but not on a specific place. The fireworks happening on August 20th is more famous, though. Lot of people uses firecrackers but we don't like it together with a lot of people because our dog is so scared of the big and sudden noises... and a lot of dogs who get scared and free themselves from their places get lost.

Yeah the thing of the grapes is because for each grape is a "wish" that you make for the next year and you don't share it with anyone
It's the best part of the night and you have to eat 12 grapes at 12:00
That happens also in mexico
Great lesson!

The tradition we have here in New Year's eve is share time with loved ones, relatives and friends, but it's very common to go out, to celebrate outdoors because here is so hot, for ex. today we have 34°C but real feel 37°C, so, so, so, hot. It's a little different from Christmas although people celebrate it. Our resorts are plenty of people in the east of the country and here in Montevideo quite quiet. Christmas is much more "family"! Of course we have a Christmas tree and great decorations.
