Former Gauteng Judge President, Bernard Ngoepe says although no one is perfect, but it's government's duty to protect lives. He further says the government should seek a second opinion on the court's ruling. Judge Ngoepe made these comments after the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria ruled that the lockdown regulations were unconstitutional and invalid. The court has given the government two weeks to amend the regulations. The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs is yet to comment on this court ruling.
