From the 5th and 6th games started to look more like in the movies. Legacy is so realistic looking and better. For it shows us more of our beloved castle.

I played all of the PC games growing up and LOVED Order of the Phoenix (2007) and Half Blood Prince (2009). I'm absolutely obsessed with Hogwarts Legacy but I keep comparing the castle layout to them. And I miss being able to levitate benches in the courtyards and slam them into students like in the PC games lol

I play the crap out of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as a kid. Ironically I remember it being really difficult and being super long.

However this was before I played a Zelda game and once I played Zelda 1 and Twilight Princess it dawned on me that that's why it felt so complex because it was similar to the game series Zelda.

I've been getting back into Retro Gaming since the modern-day gaming is taking a turn for the worst and found a few copies of some of the classics I grew up on including the GameCube version of Chamber of Secrets. It actually still holds up really well if a bit clunky feeling. However the art style has held up extremely well and so has the adventure game elements. But this game's memory has stuck with me for 28 years and immediately upon replaying it I had memories of my Adventures on it.

There's something magical about the PS2/GameCube days of Gaming where everything felt magical and most video games felt fun and engaging without dragging on for too long.

There's not that many modern games that hold a memory for me after completing them like that era. The only one I can think of from the last few years would be games like remnant of the ashes, Dragon's Dogma 2, and an interesting game called absolver.

But there's so many older games that still cling to my memory.

Sorcerer’s Stone on PC and Chamber of Secrets on PS2 slapped tiddies. Sad that these games eventually, uninspiringly became quasi-, half-baked third person shooters. The wand combat was never the appeal, and it wasn’t even developed properly. Hogwarts Legacy corrected that, but that’s all it did right. Hogwarts Legacy was straight up unfinished, there were no toys in the sandbox. Sad. I’d play the first two games any day.
