Pre-ordered this blind. Am a bit 50-50 now having seen some of the art and the build quality but will prob stick with it. Thanks for the early review

This collection covers season 1 to 3 only… There is a book covering season 4 and 5? 🤔

I was at Midtown comics in NY yesterday and saw...Darkwing Duck#1. Sounds funny but its something I was not expecting to see such as this Xmen animated omni.

Nice overview! I'm not sure why Marvel felt the need to change the title from X-Men Adventures to X-Men The Animated Series, but, OK.

X-Men Adventures is what brought me into mainstream Marvel. I went from the cartoon, then this comic, then I got into the mainline X-Men comics not long after that. I still have almost every issue from X-Men Adventures, as well as the first two trades that were released. This is such a nostalgia trip. Looking forward to picking this up and finally being able to retire all the battered up issues.

Toward the last few issues of the run, I think Marvel was ready to cancel the series and move it in a new direction. Just after X-Men Adventures was canned, the newly created Adventures of the X-Men was launched. It was a 99¢ title from their ill-fated budget line in the mid-90s (only Untold Tales of Spider-Man really had much success). The stories were set in the reality of the animated series, but were completely new stories, often featuring crossovers. It had more simplified art, much like the last 6 issues here. It was also cancelled after a year.

BTW... a few early issues had some coloring mishaps that I was curious to see if they would be corrected. I notice that Gambit still has his blue hair on page 52... so I guess maybe they didn't.

Also... John Hebert, who did 1/3 of the art in the book, was raised around 15 minutes from where I live.

Hey there, buddy. In terms of quality, this omnibus and the Ultimate X-men omnibus are day and night, aren't they? (glossy/ silky feel, gutter loss, etc)
Btw, You always get the omniboo before they are released. Tell me the truth, let's be honest please... Where does all this power of yours come from? Is it your almighty beard? 😁
