This record was played in the Unsegmented style (meaning no deaths/in one life/not segmented using checkpoints or in any way). The Segmented strategy involves lowering the Egg Balloon’s HP to “1” and then starting the timer over by losing a life. Its HP status stays the same. You don’t use checkpoints; doing this starts the timer over while you start at the beginning of the stage. The Egg Balloon can then be beaten quickly with one attack, which allows you to get more points by having more time to play more of the stage before destroying the Egg Balloon.

I haven’t looked into if playing in the Unsegmented style for this mission can be approached or made faster by utilizing non-Glitchless strategies.
