Grrr Rant time again Evri/Hermes ***UPDATE*** aarrgghhh #resellerUK

I have had 4 parcels go missing when purchasing on eBay if seller uses Hermes. I now tell any seller on eBay I will not buy from them if they use Hermes. Now that Hermes has changed its name it’s just like a dodgy business changing its name to stop people perusing thru the courts.

Useful tip for getting in contact with Evri (Hermes) Thank you. I tend to use them for convenience ( nearest shop) but I am let down by them far too frequently! They’ve lost parcels, smashed parcels, misdelivered them, run out labels, run out received cards at drop off shops. I’d prefer to use Royal Mail but they don’t track or offer the same level of compensation ( not that you ever get any from Evri) plus the nearest post office to me now is over 2 miles walk from home! On the plus side the Evri instore label printing is generally very good !

*UPDATE:* Evri no longer, as of 2023, allow you to speak to a human being _at all!_ Whatever tracking number you put in, you'll either be told it's been delivered, then cut off, or be told it's out for delivery, then cut off! There is _no longer_ any option to speak to someone, whether you're sending or receiving a parcel. If you try to get through by saying you don't know the 16 digit tracking number, or the 8 digit card number, the recording simply tells you that it needs one of those two numbers to proceed & to please call back when you have the information.

From April 4th royal mail large parcel prices is dropping so no longer need to use hermes. I use UPS for next day delivery now.

Evri/Hermes do not care as long as they continue to get orders and make profits. They have made a policy decision not to invest in customer service as it does not pay them to do so. My Evri/Hermes point is within walking distance of my home, but I have now decided to use Royal Mail whenever possible. And, like you Mrs E, I am being more careful what I buy so that I do not need to use Evri/Hermes. Such a shame there is no real alternative.

Don't bother trying to fix this issue, just let them carry on being bad and they'll go bust!

I will never buy from any seller who uses EVRI/HERMES again. To many delays and now a theft. Parcel opened stuff taken out and then taped up and left at the front door. The fact that anyone with a car and licence can work for them day to day on a casual paid by the day basis leads to problems.

Wow very interesting about evri I hate it when things go missing I feel buyers just expect a refund after a week

Spent a lot of money on a package that was supposed to be delivered. After asking them about it (over 5 days over when it was supposed to be delivered) they claimed there tracking services couldn’t find my parcel spent about £100 getting it into the UK. what a joke.
