I knew what an Eigenvector and an Eigenvalue were before I watched this video... now I'm not so sure. Very difficult time understanding this man's accent. I give him thumbs up for the effort. Anyone who is out there trying to help people deserves our support. Thanks.

Eigenvalues and eigenvectors arise in most of the Engineering problems. One of the best examples is finding the #natural frequency of a system. The Matlab inbuilt function #eig solves the famous equation A*X=(lambda)*X where #lambda is eigenvalue and X is an eigenvector. Consider the differential equation dY/dt = AY, where A is a coefficient matrix. The solution to this equation is Y= exp(lambda*t)*X. Substituting this expression in the differential equation yields AX=(lambda*X), the popular equation.

The #eigenvector of a linear transformation is a non-zero vector that only changes by a scalar factor when that linear transformation is applied to it. where is a scalar value called the #'eigenvalue'.
Here the function used is #function(eval, evec)=#eigen(A).Where, #eval=eigen value, #evec=eigen vector and #A=coefficient matrix.Here we have used inbuilt function# eig(A).To round the vector values, the function #round(A) is used.First iterative loop gives positive values at second and third position which contradict the definition of eigen vector.Another iterative loop prints the values on a display screen using #disp() function.

In this video first of all you must explain what is characteristic eqn and common key concepts used while calculating eigenvalue and eigenvectors. Second you must use diff. Examples and explain linear independent eigen vector and then after it we can also explain how eigenvalues/eigenvectors are used to calculate spectral matrix and modal matrix which can be further used to calculate diff. This video explains the concept of #eigenvalues and #eigenvectors and also gives us their MATLAB implementation by means of a built in function #eig.
The video could have used animations or atleast diagrams to explain first time viewers better.

Use of in-built MATLAB function #eig() make it easy for calculation instead of long programming process.
Nice work in converting eigen vector to intergral form, though it took me a little bit of time to understand.

I have known the concept of Eigen values and Eigen vectors but the video is not satisfactory. The video can be made more friendly and easy to understand the concept and the script.
