I don’t know why they titled it choosing a football game over the wedding because at least from what was put in this short they didn’t go to the wedding because of the ignorance of the loans, and maybe they had a football game at the same time, but not the bad apple

My brother did something similar with his first marriage. They planned their wedding the same day as my football teams season opener. They did not consider my schedule prior to picking the day. I played D3 college football, where you cant receive athletic scholarships, only financial aid. This was my sophomore year and prior to the season we knew it would most likely be my last due to how expensive school was.

I was slated to be a starter on the team but decided to skip the game to be at the wedding which i was also in. I dont regret that decision, if i was on athletic scholarship it might have been a different story.

After i got back to school, i was barried on the depth chart and wasnt able to regain my starting position. My decision to be at my brother's wedding pretty much sealed the deal and i left school after the season was over. After i came back to school from the wedding, i heard a rumor that one of my coaches said "if my brother was getting married, i would skip it cause this is my job". I never confronted him about it but being a paid coach is different then a student, the football team couldn't help us financially so there was no obligations to stay. They didnt have the ablitiy to pull financial aid from us.

If you ask me, it was dumb move. Are you telling me that you thought that silly inconsequential threat would do something? At the very least threatening him with legal action or I don't know physical violence. He's scamming your family out lots of money!! This isn't a sibling rivalry over a some minor offense. Like he is gonna suddenly decide to pay because you wanna be at the wedding. Grow up.
