😂🇩🇰 Me Learning Danish 🙈

This was always one of my favorite SNL sketches, because of Betty White - but now it reminds me of learning Danish. The first time I rode the metro and listened to the announcements I knew it would be rough as I heard “Amagerbro” announced and then looked at the spelling 😂 🙈
I still have very little confidence in my Danish skills, and feel a lot like Tina Fay when it comes to learning, hearing, and speaking Danish.

As a Norwegian, I love the Danish language. It is somehow both nice and funny to listen to. And it is somehow both easy and hard for me to understand

Danish is super difficult for people who arent from Denmark, but when you are from Denmark, it just comes naturally 🤣 great video, keep up the good work 👍

One reason that English is so difficult to learn for many people is the many vowel sounds. It is common for a language to have 5. English has 14. Danish has 23.

One funny thing about being born danish is how much of an advantage you have for speaking other european languages, due to the crazy amount of vowel sounds you can by default.
But the trilled r is still literally so impossible I have no idea how spanish people do it without problem.

Spent 16 years still learning new words all the time. Words are hard especially in Danish. Lol

still today English uses Danish words of Danish origin. such as aquavit, "a clear Scandinavian liquor flavored with caraway seeds"  fjeld, "a barren plateau of the Scandinavian upland"  Flense, "to strip of blubber or skin"   Window, “vindue”  scrike, "shriek"    egg, "æg"  To name a few.
