Fun fact: Danny Devito is also the director of Matilda. He also helped the child actor of Matilda feel safe and happy during production, since her mother was recently diagnosed with cancer. After production wrapped, her mother passed away, but luckily Devito made sure her she was able to watch a near complete cut of the movie before she did.
