it's not about cpu usage in general, it's more about random CPU usage, delay compensation and stability. most professionals i know have struggled with acoustic at some point, because of their buggy interface, super slow GUI response and overall stability. no sound in the world can justify a "not sure if this plugin can or will fck up my session" feeling :)

I was watching this outside at night and no joke your cricket sounds lined up exactly as the crickets outside my house and made it seem like it was in some surround sound studio or something off my phone tripped me out for a second I had go back and see if you put cricket sounds.

I had never heard the customer service thing before but a few months ago I contacted them to see if they could help me figure out why their plugins weren’t working on my M1 (after they had announced M1 support). I mentioned that I was trying out the free stuff they offer first to see if it would work but couldn’t get them to not crash my DAW. They wrote back.. “we don’t offer support on free plugins”. Lol…. I mean, ok but aren’t they there to encourage people to invest in your products? Seemed very stuck up to me. Like because I hadn’t spent money yet on their product I didn’t mean anything to them. Not a great approach for obtaining new customers. Imo

It will still be better than costumer support from UAD or Waves

Cerise channel strip is so underestimated! It brings a nice wet multiband compressed sound to any audio you pump it with. IT used to be given away for free!!!

Actually hit and miss with Acustica. My mastering chain is made up of mainly Acustica, but not all their plugins actually sound good. Smoke Comp and Nickel Comp don't sound as good as the Arturia or IK equivalents. Magenta is a bit meh. El Rey and MJUC are equally on par with each other. But Erin, Sand and Green Zen sound freaking amazing. So make sure you trial before you buy to make sure you're getting a good one because they are worth it, because when they are good they are amazing.

Real talk I am shocked at how many mastering engineers think that A-A's JAM is rubbish. It's the best saturator in the box...better than Klanghelm's SDRR2 and that speaks volumes!

I have a top of the line mac and it struggles with acoustica plugins. Just not good

Have couple of Acustica stuff, and it sounds good. However, they buggy somehow and that kills the most important thing - the vibe. To each his own.

Superior Mastering Plugins
I think
Lime 2, Amythest 4, Brown, HWMC and Sand 4 are top for mastering to me

Lol their customer service and business model is bullshit, totally agree about the sound quality though. I prefer nebula!
