Les Brown is a motivational giant. Basically what he's saying here is that there are many things which aren't linear. The first five years the plant does nothing and then it hits its stride at one point and shoots right up. Life can often be like this, we want to see results in accordance with efforts but they don't always line up.

Im listening to this audio recording with tears in my eyes. Financially things are going good but health isnt the best and I feel deserted and distanced by the one I love and haved loved for so long. My carreer has also come to a halt because of it. I wish I could learn to be happy when I am alone and lonely. Truly when things get bad only God and you know how you feel. The tears and suffering are for you alone
