Your best advice was at the end where you said that if the conditions were not suitable it’s best not to risk the boat. That’s when to go somewhere else, anchor out, or wait for the wind to drop.
A good video, thanks for sharing.

Very nice! Thanks for the video.
What I struggle most with is estimating the correct distance to drop the anchor.
One thing I would add as a word of caution: when you step onto the pier with the engine at 1/2 reverse, there is a risk to fall in the water and get sucked into the propeller. I think I‘d stay on the boat and either throw the line over the pollard or get someone on the land to help me. Putting it into neutral and then quickly jumping off might also be risky - with strong wind or a short line, it might get pulled out of your hand and swing away.

Thank you, Mr. Epic! No fuss, no sweat... even in the record breaking temperatures. 👍

Extraordinary video!! I have never docked in a marina with an anchor by bow, but watching the video, the day that I do, I will try with more confidence!! Sure!!

Excellent video, congratulations Alexandre! You could add that med-mooring single handed with anchor can be easier when you reverse between boats and you don't have to worry too much about anchor tension and also about the wind pushing your bow ;-) of course careful placement of the anchor in this case is important to avoid tangling with the anchors of the adjacent boats. Re the comment for centre cockpit boats (my case), I think you just have to move quickly to the stern!

Would it be possibe to do a demo video with central cockpit Med mooring? With 1 crew only.

Is it right, if there is a crosswind to do the maneuver against the wind? If it is verified that the anchor has made a head, is there not the risk that the boat will move sideways? Isn't it better to give all the chain and put tension on the chain after having moored at the dock? Thanks

Hi... Thanks for the super videos... But I want to ask, how would you moor single handed with an anchor with control only from the bow? Is it possible?

Hi and congratulations for another great video. Can you give an advise on when is the right position to turn the boat? In the video you said when the stern is opposite the bollard? Did I hear correctly? Or is it better to start turning sooner? For example when the bow is opposite the dock position?

Jumping off the boat with the gear engaged makes me slightly nervous 😬

1 question if I may. Why bowline and not lassou on port windward stern? I find lassouing easier.
