This is Chris Bandy’s official ten-part Jazz Harmony series, sponsored by The Coldest Water. This series explains how to understand, analyze, and label jazz harmonies, as well as introduces some advanced theoretical topics. With over 70 minutes of content, 150 music engravings, 700 carefully edited slides, 1,600 audio clips, and 11,000 spoken words, this is the largest project I have undertaken so far. I hope it is helpful for you!

NOTES (thanks to Dr. Edward Taylor):

2nds, 3rds, 6ths, and 7ths can NEVER be perfect.
Unisons, 4ths, 5ths, and 8vas can NEVER be major or minor.

I always wanted to take jazz band but I only had enough space on my schedule for regular concert/marching band.. and I’m just happy to finally understand this explanation wonderfully
