I'd like to see a turtle positional video. Proper turtle, when and how to use it, what not to do in turtle, regaurding and escaping, etc. Plus, I remember from a video a while back, you said you love turtles 🤣 🐢🤙 Thanks for all you do Jordan!

I counted 16 tips. This was awesome. Thank you!

- Control 3 points for the breaking mechanic
- Pin their shoulder down with your legs
- Or control the shoulder by controlling their hips by grabbing their leg
- Keep their elbow high above your waist
- Loop in to the elbow instead of grabbing the forearm to prevent the elbow slipping
- Focus on controlling the wrist
- Keep chest close to the wrist
- Make their thumb point the same direction as your hips (not necessarily "up")
- It's ok to cross feet, there are many useful leg configurations. Whatever you do - use the legs to control the shoulders.
- From bottom - keeping their elbow on your chest is the main objective during the transition. You can be sneaky and not even grab their arm sometimes.
- Defensive grips
- Prevent their defensive grips by stomping or grabbing their opposite hand or arm
- Break grips by looping your "inner elbow" on their wrist. Prefer the uppercut direction is how I say this to myself.
- Consider it a puzzle - look at what is in front of you and prioritize using your brain over your muscle to untangle grips.
- From top - clear a positional path, like passing guard. For the hips to go to the shoulders, remove or sidestep their frames. Take an underhook, double underhooks, or get their arms up high.
- Finish with their wrist in your armpit for more breaking power

Triangles would be awesome for a video like this! Also I'd really enjoy and learn from watching some narrated sparring in specific basic positions such as closed, half, DLR, or butterfly! There is a lot of instructionals out there but not as much specific sparring to learn what stuff looks like live. Any content you provide is always appreciated and I hope you had a great summer! :)

hey man just wanted to say thank you for the videos. My game has improved significantly, and by watching your videos I have learnt a great deal and my game has changed completely.

One video which I would find useful, is how people with shorter legs / less flexible legs should roll. For example, I find hitting triangles difficult and body triangles basically impossible.

You should do these tips videos for multiple different submissions or even takedowns because this 1 video is amazing

All great tips. I'm only a purple belt coach but certainly teach a lot of these principles like attacking at the wrist. Definitely learned a few, too.

So refreshing, that the video doesnt start with a 2 minute useless introduction. Other creators should take notes :D
